I am back from my Wakkerstroom bird-ringing course... minus the promised mini-blogs! The week went by in a blur of feathers, mist net erection and dismantling, running up and down mountain sides with bagged birds ready for processing from pre dawn to post sunset. Aching muscles and tired mind were no defence when the slightest obstacles were added to prevent photographic processing or mini-blogging from taking place... and many were the hinderances and difficulties ranging from power cuts and poor / no cell phone signal to heaps of "homework".

Failure to blog aside... I learned lots... and got four lifers as a bonus! I met some fascinating people and forged contacts and friendships... All in all, it was a week to remember.

Watch out for the story in the next day or so...

I *might* forgive you if you write a series about last week.
