Hello Everybody!!

So the long weekend's weather was just a lil disappointing and not much birding could be done. 

However we did make our way to Zagkuil and then on to Nylsvley (where I met an elusive penguin.. ).  I thought i would quickly share the strangest sighting I have ever seen and would love some comments regarding it..... We came across a Greater Spotted Cuckoo (which is strange enough being the 1st May) walking around in the grass of what can only be described as "Vlei" area.  The bird was walking around in the grass, hopping from rock to rock and hunting.  It looked completely comfie there and even gave us a look of "what? you never seen a bird walking around in the grass before?" I would like to add that there wasn't a tree in sight...

I have pictures and as soon as I upload them we can discuss this.  I also have to figure out how to get pics on here but I'm sure I will have some help... right ladies?  lol
